Back End Web Developer

Back End Developer - £35,000-£40,000 – Norwich – Hybrid

Cloudscope have been instructed on an appointment in the Norfolk area for a leading agency. The position is for an experienced back-end developer looking for the next step in their career. The role has the potential to move into a lead role, helping shape the dev team as the agency grows further in 2022.

The Role

• To develop and code client websites as part of an experienced web development team
• To collaborate with front-end developers, creatives, and digital project managers to establish objectives and create robust and functional codebases
• To help develop ideas for new applications, products, or features by monitoring industry developments and trends

The Candidate

• Proficient in PHP development Commercial experience working with Laravel or Symfony
• Good understanding of OOP Experience working with MVC architecture
• Commercial experience working with revision control (Git)
• MySQL
• Javascript / jQuery
• Experience designing and implementing Relational Databases
• Experience working with LAMP stack
• E-Commerce application development experience
• Payment gateway integration experience
• Understanding of the phases of web development life cycle and agile methodology
• Strong team player and good communication skills

Salary: £35,000-£40,000

Working Hours: Full time Monday – Friday

Location: Norwich (3/4 Days in office, rest remote)  

Commutable from: Ipswich, Colchester, Cambridge, Peterborough, Chelmsford

Who would suit this role?

A developer comfortable working with MVC frameworks such a Laravel, Zend, Symfony. Someone happy to work in a face to face office environment and will relish the opportunity to progress into a management role.
